Regular dinner is on for this week, but something special is happening first.
Joan Perry will be hosting us for cocktails at her home at the usual 6:30pm time. Thanks in advance to Joanie for her hospitality. We know that she and Teri will be up to their neck in sax players from now on as the official chairs of Jazz-on-the-Plazz (http://www.jazzontheplazz.com/).
From there it’s a short walk to Gardino’s where Jeff, our favorite waiter, is back (sporting a full beard) produced during his extended vacation through Arizona and New Mexico. Let’s welcome him home. Don’t forget to bring nice wine.
THANKS TO ATHENA…for doing a great job of hosting cocktails last week across the street at her imaginative Victorian. People had such a good time that the evening is now being referred to around town as Athena’s “big fat Greek cocktail party”. Thanks also to California Café for providing a beautiful setting and enjoyable meal for many of us.

THE WOMEN OF THE LOS GATOS SOCIAL CLUB: When outsiders (people from Saratoga, Milpitas and yes, even San Jose) check out our web site, they are always amazed at how gorgeous our female members are…and badger us enviously about how we’ve managed to assemble such a beautiful bevy of wonderful women. Well, there is a secret. And it’s more than just the phenomenal personalities of our female members.

LIFE IS A TRIP, especially for members of The Los Gatos Social Club:
We know that many of you are embarking this summer on adventurous travel; and we invite you to hold a special Los Gatos Social Club meeting wherever you find yourself. Accordingly, I have attached a “Special Meeting” sign for you to print out and take on your trip. Photograph your gathering incorporating your own “Special Meeting” sign (see below) and submit it for inclusion here in The Los Gatos Social Club’s prestigious weekly email. Additionally, we will have a judging at the end of the summer and award titles and prizes of great value for photos of meetings in the following categories:

· Most unusual
· Lewdest
The Hubers have already left for China; Kelly & Jonathan along with Michael Silva will be running with the bulls in Hemmingway’s footsteps @Pamploma in July; Dennise & I will be digging steamer clams on Nantucket; and you, undoubtedly, will also be doing something of great fun.

Come dinner time, she asks if he wants anything to eat. 'Would you like a juicy rib eye steak and scrumptious apple pie? Or maybe a rotisserie chicken or tasty stir fry?' He declines again. 'No,' he says, 'It's got to be the Viagra...I'm still not hungry'.
'Well,' she says, 'Would you mind letting me up? I 'm starving.'
